Yes, Doxis’ AI-powered can recognize and extract text from handwritten documents. However, the accuracy depends on the clarity and legibility of the handwriting as well as the quality of the uploaded document or image.

Our engine works seamlessly by extracting text from customs declarations, delivery notes, bill of ladings, dispatch notes, receipts, invoices, credit card statements, passports, ID cards, driving licenses, bank statements, purchase orders and Chamber of Commerce documents. 

Doxis supports all Latin-alphabet languages, including Dutch, English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Greek, and more. Hebrew is currently in BETA. Doxis validates extracted data against IATA schemas and can enforce custom business rules. This ensures that required fields are populated, codes are accurate (e.g. UN/LOCODE, IATA airport codes), and the output matches regulatory expectations.

Doxis’ software accuracy can vary depending on the quality of the document or images that are uploaded to the OCR engine, and the software used. Doxis’ uses OCR, AI and machine learning to achieve high data extraction accuracy, up to 99%.

Our data capture APIs can be implemented into any software, web or mobile solution that you may be using. The main source of communication is JSON, so it is independent of specific programming languages.

The default response contains structured JSON. This allows fast processing of the extracted data. Upon request the JSON structure can be changed for your API key. To learn more about the exact structure, read our documentation.
