Traineeship: International Software Sales

Develop into an international sales professional in 2 years, specializing in software!

Then our International Software Sales Traineeship at Klippa is the perfect opportunity for you!

About the Position

Over the course of two years, you will develop into a fully independent sales professional, capable of handling the entire sales process—from inbound to outbound, from first contact to closing deals. 

This program is structured into different learning phases to help you grow step by step. 

Month 1: The Fundamentals 

• Learn the basics of sales processes and methodologies such as MEDDIC and SPIN. 
• Gain insights into inbound & outbound sales, prospecting, qualification, pitching, and software pricing. 
Develop a deep understanding of Klippa’s SaaS products and how they add value to our customers.

Month 2: Prospecting & Lead Qualification

• Learn how to assess the quality of inbound leads (qualification).
• Discover how to identify new potential customers (prospecting).
• Develop your sales pitch and learn the best channels to connect with prospects.
Month 3-12: Outreach & Sales Execution

Begin outreach! You will start proactively contacting potential customers via: 
– Phone 
– Email 
– LinkedIn
– Events
Book meetings for your experienced sales colleagues and join sales calls to learn from them.

Year 2: Becoming an Independent Sales Professional

• Start working more independently in your sales role.
Learn advanced skills like pipeline management, deal closing, and negotiation.
• Begin mentoring new trainees in their first year 

After 2 Years: Sales Professional

• You will be a fully trained international sales professional 
• Confidently handle the entire sales process—from first contact to closing deals. 
Be ready to take on your own sales territory or specialize further.

Who are we looking for? 

You don’t need experience in sales—we are looking for ambition, drive, and curiosity! You are eager to learn, not afraid to pick up the phone, and excited about international business and technology. 

• Highly motivated, eager to grow, and open to coaching.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
• Fluent in English, plus an additional language: Dutch, French, or German.
• Based in Groningen, or willing to relocate.
