Klippa Joins Groningen Hero Companies to Promote the City

PressRelease | July, 2023
“Gelukkig ben je in Groningen” – “Fortunately, you are in Groningen” was the key message behind a current initiative focused on creating a powerful and positive image of the northernmost region of the Netherlands. For this purpose, an impressive number of local companies have accepted mayors’ Koen Schuiling and Adriaan Hoogendoorn’s invitations to a second edition of the dedicated GRO-show event.
”The technology sector and especially high-tech companies have an essential role in the development of Groningen, of our image. Education as well. A lot of people still do not know that we actually have a technical university, or how many relevant courses for the sector are available at the Hanze Hogeschool. We need to work on this together, businesses and knowledge institutions alike”, said Koen Schuiling, on behalf of the Municipality of Groningen.

According to the organizers, Marketing Groningen, local partners have the ability to further the key message in the most convincing way. Established companies were happy to present actual experiences of growing in the region and tapping into opportunities to be found here. Klippa, Holthausen Clean Technology, Royal Avebe, NITE, and RTV Noord are just some of the companies that shared their Groningen stories for a wide public.
I’m delighted to promote the image of Groningen, since our company is inextricably connected to it. Before we became a global player in the AI-driven technology industry, we were a start-up navigating possibilities available in the region. Since then, we’ve grown by 4000%, have offices in three different countries and clients all over the world. We believe it’s testament to the amazing things that can happen here in our beloved North.
